Our Story
Rooted in the slow & natural
Sprout & Pepper began as a simple idea: create a place where neighbors could discover honest food and goods — on their own time, at their own pace.
We are a self-serve mercantile in Buchanan, Michigan — part farm stand, part apothecary, part neighborhood gathering place. Our shelves hold signature artisan sourdough, organic wellness goods, handmade creations, and whatever the garden brings each season.
The name Sprout & Pepper reflects growth and warmth — the sprout of something new, the pepper of everyday flavor. Everything we offer is chosen with intention: organic when possible, toxin-free by principle, and always made or sourced with care.
We believe in slow living. That means baking bread with patience, labeling every loaf by hand, and letting our stand stay open so you can browse without hurry. It means trusting our community with an honor-system checkout — because good neighbors deserve good food.
